Conservative County Councillor and Candidate for South Benfleet

I am a Benfleet boy, born and raised, and I am now raising my own family here. I am a Director of a local healthcare firm and I have been your county councillor for nine years. Many residents know me from my regular Facebook updates about local roadworks, potholes, and council issues.

When major roadworks risk running late, I visit the sites late at night to speak with crews and update residents so people know whether their road will be open for the morning commute or school run.

I have worked hard to be a visible, active councillor who gets things done. From chasing utility companies over disruptive roadworks to securing more money for road and pavement repairs. I fight every day to get results for our town and l am proud to do so.

I'm also proud to have helped expand local special school places at Cedar Hall and Glenwood schools, with more provision coming locally so children with complex needs can learn closer to home. I am also pleased to have helped secure the building of two brand new special schools in South Essex that should be open next year.

But there is still more to do. I will keep pushing for better roads, fewer disruptive roadworks, and I will continue standing up for Benfleet against Labour's huge housing targets for South Essex.

I believe in Benfleet and I believe our town deserves a councillor who works hard and speaks up for residents. I hope you do too and you will lend me your vote so l can keep on fighting for you.

Andrew's commitments for South Benfleet

• I will keep on the backs of local utility companies to cut down on the constant unplanned emergency road works that blight our roads and work to secure more funding for road repairs.
• I will keep on working to expand the number of local special school places. I will not stop until every child who needs a local special school place has one.
• I will always put people before politics. Being a councillor isn't about shouting about what's going on in Westminster, it is about helping people and going the extra mile for the community you serve.
• I will go the extra mile for Benfleet - be visible, accessible and prepared to put the time in.
