MY PROMISE TO WORK FOR YOU AS THE LEADER OF THE CONSERVATIVE GROUP ON THE COUNCIL
My name is Godfrey Isaacs and I am your Conservative councillor for St James’ Ward. I have been proud to have been a representative for the residents of Hadleigh for the past 23 years.
Since first being elected in 1999 I have served all committees, selected by my peers as Mayor in 2005/06 and over the last 12 years held the position on the Cabinet with the responsibility of People - Community which consists of Safer Communities Projects, Neighbourhoods and liaising with the Blue Light Services. Representing the residents of Hadleigh is at the forefront of my commitment however partnership working is of paramount importance and as the Cabinet Minister I chair the Community Safety Partnership (CSP), represent the borough at Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Panel (PFCCP), Essex Countrywide Traveller Unit (ECTU) and Safer Essex. During the last two years I have been elected by my peers across Essex as Vice Chair of both the PFCCP and ECTU Committees these are countywide so very important to have our say.
The Conservative Councillors work tirelessly for the community and as a team make our presence known at all levels. In the past your Hadleigh Councillors are very proud of their commitment to their community. We have worked to provide free parking for parents at Rectory Road Car Park, at John Burrows the extension of the cricket Pavilion and vandalproof tennis nets. In addition, we have supported and worked with the Hadleigh Community Team to bring Festive Lighting and hanging baskets making Hadleigh a more attractive place to be.
It is vital that a Councillor communicates with their residents. Please visit us at our surgeries on the second Saturday of each month at Hadleigh’s Old Fire Station 10am till noon, at our village fetes or feel free to phone or email me.
Thank you.
Godfrey Isaacs
