Local Conservative Adeline Lanegan speaks for most Islanders when she slams the few irresponsible dog owners who continue to leave dogs mess on the seafront path.

Adeline says "I am very proud of the Seafront and when friends come to visit I always take them for a stroll along the sea wall to show them all the lovely things Canvey has to offer."

"Imagine how pile after pile of discarded dogs muck looks to them. Quite why the mindless few cause such misery for the majority I do not understand. Castle Point Borough Council provide dogs waste bags and bins so there really is no excuse."

"If I was in charge I would jolly well make sure the perpetrators were identified and fined."
