The future of Canvey seafront looks very rosy.....

Monday, 13 June, 2011

Well known local Conservative, Chas Mumford has declared himself overjoyed that the next phase of regeneration at Canvey Seafront is underway.

An exciting development of luxury apartments and commercial retail premises are taking shape on the old ‘Casino’ site and new licensed premises are opening at the far end of the seafront parade.

Chas said “It is especially pleasing that local people are investing in our Seafront in an attempt to return Canvey to a favoured seaside destination for visitors to this part of Essex.”

“These two new schemes will enhance the appearance of the seafront significantly and when you consider the improvement works already being carried out by the Cinema owners, Leisure Island fun park and the friends of Concord beach the future looks very rosy.”

The first phase of regeneration at the Seafront saw the construction of the popular bandstand, new signs to the seawall and chrome street furniture. These improvements were delivered by the regeneration partnership at Conservative controlled Castle Point Council.
