It was an absolute pleasure to officially open 'The Hub' at SEEVIC college yesterday with Her Worship the Mayor of Castle Point, Cllr Mrs Maryse Isles.

'The Hub' is the new dining and social area at the college and it is a massive improvement to the campus environment for staff and students. I have to say it looks absolutely fantastic!

I know that SEEVIC takes its place in the community of Castle Point very seriously. It was great to see that the students had chosen to support a local charity, the Canvey Island Youth Project, with their recent Raise and Give events, raising £400 that was also donated at the ceremony.

It was also very good to see that SEEVIC invited local residents to come and have a look around as well.

A great evening and a big well done to all involved!
