MHP Communications has identified the top ten MPs from 2010's new parliamentary intake who will be 'the loudest and most listened to' in 2011.

A pamphlet by the agency's public affairs practice pinpoints Conservatives Nick Boles, Therese Coffey, Rebecca Harris, Jesse Norman and Rory Stewart; Labour MPs Luciana Berger, Stella Creasy and Chuka Umunna; and Liberal Democrats Duncan Hames and Julian Huppert.

Open Road has made a trio of hires, bringing in Hanover senior consultant Isobel Bradshaw, Luther Pendragon consultant Helen Davison and Weber Shandwick account manager Hannah Marwood. The agency has also promoted Matt Bright and Jessica Frost to associate directors.

Inside Lobbying has been launched by ex-lobbyist Jamie Hewitt and six associates to equip prospective public affairs professionals with practical skills and knowledge.

Watson Helsby has hired Jenny Ungless, previously associate director at rival recruitment firm Ellwood & Atfield, to develop its public affairs and political risk executive search offering. Ungless is a former senior civil servant and lobbyist.
