This morning I joined other civic dignitaries at the raising of the flag at the Castle Point Borough Council offices today to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to the celebration assembly at St Katherine’s Primary School on Canvey last Friday and to be asked to hand out badges to the newly elected school councillors .I understand campaign pledges included installing a chicken coop and a bouncy castle .
