Although the heavy snowfall is a distant memory the Island is still littered with pot holes that have not been repaired.Concerned Islanders, Pat Haunts & Chas Mumford  inspected some at the junction of Point Road and Southfalls Road.

I read the ludicrous claim made by Dave Blackwell that he was “deliberately ignored from speaking” at the meeting about the fire cuts on Canvey.

Canvey Conservatives are celebrating after the ever popular Ray Howard agreed to stand for re-election as Borough Councillor for Canvey West in the May 2011 Council elections. Ray will lead a strong team of candidates committed to winning back Conservative seats from the Independent Party. He will be joined by James Parkin in South Ward, Mark Howard in Winter Gardens, Lydia Parkin in East Ward and Chas Mumford in North Ward.

Canvey Conservatives from the We LOVE Canvey team were out working hard again this morning helping a 90 year old Islander clear her garden of slippery leaves.

CONSERVATIVES BACK “WE LOVE CANVEY” CAMPAIGN BY TIDYING TOWN CENTRE

Responding to a call of action from long running local newspaper, The District News, members of the Castle Point Conservative Association took to the streets of Canvey Island in an effort to tidy up their Town Centre which is being plagued by untidy weeds. The group removed weeds and cleared rubbish in attempt to restore some community pride to the Islands main shopping area.
