Rebecca Harris was surprised to hear Labour leader Ed Miliband admit that he would still like to see more immigration into the UK. Even though under Labour immigration rocketed with net migration at a record 2.2 million people – twice the population of Birmingham – the Labour leader refused to admit that they had let too many people into the country.

Castle Point, Rebecca Harris, has welcomed new figures which show that thousands of children in Castle Point are set to share an extra £525,000 this year under the Coalition government’s new ‘pupil premium’. The pupil premium is a new policy promised by both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats before the general election last year. It is an extra lump sum of cash which follows every less advantaged child and is received by schools, allowing them to provide additional support such as one-to-one tuition or extra pastoral care.
Conservative Councillor Wendy Goodwin visited Benfleet Station to inspect the new cycle shelters. Wendy had been lobbied by residents to provide an alternative to the previous unsightly practise of chaining bikes to the railings.
